1) Help to disseminate and maintain the technical know-how and infrastructure necessary to facilitate free and/or low-cost and easy to use secure communication between Human Rights Defenders (HRDs), their colleagues and parent organizations, journalists and other interested parties.

Note: While we'll start out with secure email, the idea is to eventually expand our efforts to include secure chat, SMS etc.

2) Create and maintain localized and localizable versions of this software and language resources such that any and all interested users and participants may use this software in the language of their choice.

In order to accomplish this, VaultletSoft will release an Open Source version of what is currently called “VaultletSuite 2 Go, v2.9”. This Open Source version should be published for the first time in the Summer of 2010, once sufficient organizational preparation has been achieved and v3.0 of the VaultletSuite 2 Go has been developed.
